I think some of the people in this thread are afraid of getting food on their fingers for some unknown but frankly rather concerning reason.

Didn’t someone in the annoying your partner thread admit to asymmetrically cutting sandwiches to irk their other half?

I’m frankly bamboozled that finger butter is seen as difficult to deal with, but to each their own :upside_down_face:

why would you get food on your fingers if it was easy not to? You could cut the bread with a knife (or scissors), or just leave it whole.

Ripping it is a ridiculous solution and the idea of it has upset me quite a lot.

that reminds me, must buy more finger butter when i’m next in Boots

Thoughts on crumpets?

Brown for first course, white for pudding. Brown is savoury, white’s the treat. Of course I’m the one who’s laughing because I actually love brown toast.

Crumpets are amazing. However most manufacturers make them too thick now.

M&S sourdough crumpets are where it’s at. But, again, they are a bit on the thick side.

Love a crumpet but strictly a butter only man in the crumpet realm. I will rip these also.

why would you need to rip a crumpet?!!

Just for the sheer pleasure of doing so

Crumpets are the most compelling proof to date that there is no god.

See, and your going to get butter on you fingers in a really worthwhile way

I rip quite a lot of foods and it winds people up. But never ever something buttered. It’s mayhem.

That was @keith!

EDIT: I see the best post ever on new DiS has already been posted!

Wrong! Butter is very much a delight on its own. Give that butter knife a LICK!
