Today's my Saturday

It isn’t.

And it takes longer to say or type that then “i’m off today”.

Weird that’s become a thing.

I often hear people say ‘Today’s my Friday’ but not ‘Today’s my Saturday’

Think you’re wrong on this one fella

Doesn’t take longer to type than ‘my working week runs from Friday to Tuesday, so Wednesday is, to me, the equivalent day to what Saturday is for people with a conventional working week and this may need explaining’

I’m willing to listen to any convincing argument…

Never heard that.

Today’s my Friday is common though.

You’re welcome

It’s reflecting the ebb and flow of a work-week and the specific feeling of being done with it on a routine basis. Different to having a random day off. Or summat. Dunno, big BIG fan of it (for purpose of this thread)
