the first Liima album grew on me after more listenings, after just finding it ok/good to begin with, to becoming one of my most listened of the year.
Just finished my first listen of the new one, and I like it, although I’m already annoyed by the 8 or so minutes of silence halfway through the last track. Why do bands do this?? - do they not listen to albums to know how frustrating and pointless it is? /rant
The new Rabit album is out today - pretty disappointed after the first listen. Thought ‘Communion’ was a pretty interesting dark and brutal take on grime but this one goes off into the ether and sounds like some fairly dull ambient (to my ears).
Bibio’s new one is out today and sounds pretty cool and chilled for the change in the cold weather.
I’m enjoying The Stroppies self-titled debut, but only for those who like Flying Nun-type jangle-pop. 7 toons, 19 minutes. What’s not to like …
