Hi everybody. I was going to start a new thread about this but I really don’t think it warrants one. Please can we have a toilet seat stability audit? They’re such notoriously wobbly fuckers. I propose a poll where 10 is solid as a rock and 1 is off it’s hinges. For the sake of clarity let’s say this applies to your main household toilet, as I know people frequent many toilets in their day-to-day life.

I answered 10 as my seat is rock solid

however a bolt has sheared on the actual toilet (one that attaches it to the floor) - so my overall toilet experience is “wobbly as fuck”

Never replaced all the toilet seats in my house. Seems I don’t even have principles any more!
Also, toilet seats are waayyyyyyy more expensive than they should be.

Was previously operating at a 1 but our bathroom flooded and the toilet was replaced so we’re at a good 8 or so now.

The toilet seat in the nearest bathroom to my desk has just wobbled its way off this week.

People keep taking it off the toilet and leaving it by the bin. The last time this happened (how has it happened twice in less than 6 months?!) the toilet seat ended up disappearing and wasn’t replaced for a good three months.

Pretty distraught about this.

Toilet seats in both our bathrooms are a solid 8.

The toilet in my girlfriend’s house is a fucking disaster. I’d go so far to rate it as a 0. The metal hinges have corroded and snapped leaving it as the most precarious toilet I have ever sat on. Their landlord told them to buy a new one and he’d reimburse them but this was months ago and they’ve done nothing.

Thinking about buying her a toilet seat for Christmas for the shabs and bants.

That’s very upsetting. If you get it for her as an xmas gift you’ll also be able to get money from the landlord. Free gift! Literally no-one loses!
