Got the GJ bit but only just remembered JA cancelled.

Cant even explain why, everything about them just rubs me the wrong way.

Bladdy love Lateralus me

Nevermind is overrated.

How do you write a tool song?

You just write a tool song.

I’ve never seen them live but everyone I know who has, even the cynics (my brother: “I’m not sure what my favourite song was, they were both good”) come away saying it’s the best live performance they’ve ever seen. I guess it’s just one of those “it’s for you or it’s not” things. I certainly get bored listening to entire albums, but they do have some legit bangers.

Apparently the album consists of 7 songs but clocks in at about 80 minutes

hmmmm. :upside_down_face:

Didn’t they say it was a double album with every song being over 10 minutes long?

Ah, it was a a Reddit roumour

Interesting, I saw them twice in college after Lateralus came out and thought they were extremely underwhelming both times. They might as well have been playing the album through speakers, the only differences being that everything was maybe 20 bpm slower and a misguided intermission where the Schism video creatures did a 40 minute interpretive dance about communication.

I saw them twice on Lateralus and thought they were a bit dull. Saw them this year at download and they were stunning. Hope I get to see them again on the next tour.

I’ve seen them a few times also after Lateralus and 10,000 days and thought they were excellent every time, although i don’t think they were so good that anyone not interested would be converted. They are just a really pro band with some good visuals (and lasers the last time i seem to recall) to help hold your attention!

Doesnt sound like them

Natural follow on from 10,000 days. Not really grabbing me. Would have preferred a shorter, heavier lead track
