I think it was one of the semis we went to rather than the final, but was great fun. Enormous terrace behind the goal, really cheap, lovely stuff

Camp Nou is pretty incredible and easily the best stadium I’ve ever been in circa 2004. I saw Barcelona draw with Atletico Bilbao 1-1. From way up high there was a tickertape small tornado below us but above the game. Like a magnificent chess game featuring Ronaldinho.

  1. Bramall Lane
  2. New Spurs toilet
  3. Fenway Park
  4. Nou Camp
  5. Roots Hall

Actually I’d throw in the Kuipke velodrome in Ghent. Insane atmosphere

  1. La Bombonera, even crammed into the tourist bit (Boca Juniors)
  2. Stadio Renzo Barbera (Palermo)
  3. Tele2 Arena (Hammarby)
  4. AMEX
  5. Stamford Bridge

Stadio Renzo Barbera gives me the greatest sense of weird unplacable football nostalgia and romance, something about the location by the mountains and the lack of a roof and it’s right by Mondello which is a tropical paradise, makes me feel like I’m in the early seasons of a great narrative driven football videogame that doesnt exist
