Stadio Renzo Barbera gives me the greatest sense of weird unplacable football nostalgia and romance, something about the location by the mountains and the lack of a roof and it’s right by Mondello which is a tropical paradise, makes me feel like I’m in the early seasons of a great narrative driven football videogame that doesnt exist
Croke Park Dalymount Park Polish Army Stadium Tallaght Stadium
not well travelled stadium wise
I was in Maine Road once but that was for the Oasis gig so it doesn’t meet your requirements.
Melbourne Cricket Ground Santiago Bernabéu Lang Park Brisbane Croke Park Emirates
I’ll go for a few that I don’t think have been mentioned so far
Shout out to The Panathenaic Stadium in Athens but didn’t see a sporting event there (did hold my own unofficial race )
MCG (just massive) Oracle Park (great sea views) Odsal Knowsley Road Old Trafford Cricket Ground
Maine Road Old Trafford (cricket) St James’s Park Nou Camp Brookburn Road
Honourable mention for Estadio Nou Camp in Inca, Mallorca, but I didn’t see a game there.
Worst - White Hart Lane Stadium of Light Darlington Arena KCOM Moss Lane
Don’t really like modern stadia…
They played the Milan derby in Rome?
Haha yeah my mistake, just always equated that picture with the Rome game for some reason.
Amazed it took that long to be picked up tbh.
Shittest I’ve been to:
Elm Park Old Trafford (Cricket) Madejski Stadium Memorial Stadium Pontyates Park
The worst is Loftus Road.
Followed by the Weston homes community stadium, and old trafford
Layer Road was pretty shit too
FTFY
Never seen a match there, but it is very underwhelming from the outside.
Objectively utter shit, but it was round the corner from my house, genuinely felt like it was about to collapse when it got an atmosphere going, and I had a mate who’s back garden backed on to one side who used to get 20-30 free footballs a season from it and bring them in to school
Great for away fans, could slide down that lower tier roof and plop right out on to the pitch and get fakkin nawty.
