I don’t think it is though, especially in the earlier years, but mostly as it’s humour is everything, it can be really broad and on point all at once

Well, it is a satirical cartoon so characterisation is pretty fluid. Bart appealed to me as a kid but I grew out of that and into enjoying the world the show creates. I’d say it’s more about commenting on stories, issues and pop culture references.

Not sure about a top 5. But I’ve never got on with the whole awkward Larry David style comedy. Am much more likely to enjoy Kimmy Schmidt, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Father Ted etc than Curb or Arrested Development (despite having given both a chance).
