Old El Paso fajitas (smoky BBQ flavour)
Hereās a thing I make with leftover mash. You slowly heat a small bowlful of mash with a large handful of grated cheese and stir until itās oozy and mixed in and stringy. (At this point itās a sort of version of the French dish aligot). Then stop heating it, add in a decent squirt of ketchup and stir it in until it turns an unappetizing pale orange colour. It doesnāt have a name, but itās cheesy, tomatoey, smooth and delicious, proper bland nursery food, could eat it forever.
Noodles with garlic, mushrooms, ginger, spring onions cooked in a bit of 5 spice, soy sauce and gouchuyang powder stirred in at the end and a soft poached egg on top

Have always found them quite difficult to get right - always end up wishing Iād used different bread, cooked the fish fingers for longer/shorter or used more/less sauce
