Seeing as Kunt & The Gang have gone too 20, how about a thread of protest songs you love that did well in the charts somewhere in the world? Particularly interested in non-UK ones (although we’re a weird country in caring about the singles charts)

I guess the obvious answer is “Killing in the Name Of” getting to Xmas no. 1 that one time…

This was huge in Europe and South America a few years ago, albeit more due to its use in “La Casa de Papel” than its lyrics:
