Been thinking about how much I miss Torche lately. From their early-ish riff silliness to their later shoegaze adjacent melodic bangers. A very good band.

Yeah they were great. Only really know Harmonicraft and Meandathal so will rectify that soon. Saw them supporting Isis many years ago and they were awesome

Was also thinking about whether Admission is shoegaze adjacent enough for them to blow up if the horny Deftones loving youngsters got hold of it. That would be nice.

They totally deserve it. A very special band that do something you’d imagine lots of people could do, but somehow they’re totally inimitable. I’m super excited too!

Annoyed I can’t make the Bristol show, it’s been moved to Strange Brew which is a much nicer (and much, much smaller) venue than SWX. Haven’t seen them since ATP in 2008…
I’m seeing them on Friday but it’s part of a festival thing called Core and from the festival website it looks like they’ll only get a 45 minute set even though they’re headlining, which is a bit disappointing. Still excited to see them for the first time. Hadn’t listened to them for years and had missed Admission coming out but since the gigs got announced I’ve been playing through all their stuff again. Such a great band.
Interested to see Toru, although there’s a load of bands called that so I can’t be quite sure which one they are!
Appreciate them putting the set times out early, less excited about a bunch of people dealing with tube strikes at that time of night

So hot for this gig tonight rn. Love a bit of Torche, even though I wasn’t that into Admission. Harmonicraft is the daddy for me.

Meanderthal is the one for me. Never quite fell for Harmonicraft in the same way
Gutted I’m missing them on this tour. They’d better stick around for a bit.
