Torche

Yeah same Meanderthal is way superior imo, good album but

Why are Cave In the support though

Have you heard The Singles or whatever it’s called? That’s good stuff too!

Bloody love Out Again in particular. That last riff they run with for a good 3 minutes could go on for hours and I wouldn’t mind one bit.

Just once - last month! Enjoyed but need to get back to it.

Meandethal is also a gem, I heartily agree! Perfect mix of heavy, catchy, melodic, colourful, maybe a little psychedelic, and great album art too.

Well anecdotally Torche have got a much bigger crowd than Cave In did so I guess promotors did their research, also this apparently is their first show in three years so there’s that too

Do you know what is funny, sugar glider is there best song and they never play it

Bit underwhelmed by Torche, not sure why.

Made me remember why Jupiter (and the band) is so special. Torche were also fucking incredible though!

Cave In were fucking perfect, so glad I saw that.

Torche were very good too but did have to dip before the end to get train home/I’m too old for this shit lol

Traffic in to London was awful so I missed the first few songs of Cave In’s set - they sounded amazing didn’t they? Wish they’d played more riffy bangers though, saw them at the Barfly when they were touring Jupiter and they managed to get Juggernaut in then!

Torche sounded a bit ropey for the first couple of songs and you could definitely tell they hadn’t been onstage together for a few years. It all came together as they ploughed through six back to back Meanderthal rippers and the rest of the set was utterly joyful. Glad they’re back - hope it lasts!

Yeah the sound wasn’t great for Torche for the first few songs either, once they locked in and the sound was sorted they were great though, i could’ve listened to them all night tbh.

Cave In were so so good, and Stephen looked to be having a lovely time too which was infectious.

I thought Torche were a lot more exciting than on record really - there was barely any let up for at least two-thirds of their set. And that leather waistcoat?! C’mon people!

I hadn’t actually listened to it in a good wee while but now I can’t stop send help

Went back to this today and yep, that’s just great stuff. Love when they hit a groove and just let it repeat and repeat.
