there’s an amount of flat today though right? they were saying the problem with that mountain stage that killed all the other sprinters was there was basically no part that wasn’t a climb so they couldn’t make back the time anywhere.

This is more because of his accident though. First 40km are flat(ish) then rolling until 60km, then 3 classic TdF climbs. If he’s off the back on a cat 4, it’s not looking good.

If anybody ever goes to the Pyrenees, I’d highly recommend staying in Argeles-Gazost. At the base of Hautacam, Solour/Aubisque combo and a short valley ride from the foot of the Tourmalet/luz ardiden, and another valley ride away from the Cauterets finish they used a couple of years ago. And smaller climbs like the col de spandelles, borderes and the col du coraduque. Some great riding around there.
