but ma leg room!
Aye. I do quite often but get on at Stratford so… can sit where I bloody well like.
For me this is nearly as bad as people on trains that put their luggage on the seat next to them. Sure they can move it if you ask but one of the reasons for doing it is knowing full well that it will be the last seat to be filled and you are pushing people into asking. Very shy people will quite likely start camping by the toilets before doing so!
The words sociopath and bus are pretty well-acquainted bedfellows.
god, imagine having to ask someone something.
I’m absolutely going to keep doing this regardless of the outcome of the poll.
this is just assuming that your needs are greater than everyone elses
Oh this seat has a reserved ticket poking out the back of it.

No, if someone is having trouble walking or pregnant etc., i’m more than happy to move up.
Nah. Taking up another seat with a bag and not pre-emptively moving it as the bus starts to fill up is way worse than just preferring the aisle seat because you’re tall.
I hear you, I’m 6ft 6 and I know its a mare, but unless its a lengthy journey I just suck it up.
i’m on the bus for an hour and 20 minutes. this is why I do this.
How do you manage the tube at all? Really tall people in the tube look so horribly uncomfortable, particularly when they are standing and have to crouch down a little.
In before marckee. Stratford is not on the ELL. It’s on the NLL.
THE STRUGGLE IS REAL
do the ol’ lean against the window on either end of the carriage if on the tube.
Yup, my bag has my laptop in. It’s between my legs and it’s fine.
I meant you hold it in one hand by the top strap like if you had a regular shopping bag.
Yeah you got me here…
I’m with you mate. Buses (and some trains) just aren’t designed for someone who’s 6’2’’. Ask and I’ll let you in, but I genuinely can’t fit in properly by the window without sitting diagonally.
I get why people don’t like it, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯
When getting off the bus I
