Oh yeah going for a swim/twatting about in the sea for a bit is a given.

I enjoy it as a once a year or so thing because I don’t often find/make the time to read books so that’s my time to do it.

tbh until about 2 years ago I’d have considered that a tedious proposition as well but now I’ve got a more stressful/responsible job and that I’ve found it time/money VERY well spent.

This is what we did for 5 days in Sciliy exept it was more like

7am - wake up
8-9am - breakfast
9- 10am - lay about in the room
10am - lay on the beach / do a big hike
11:30am - get hungry
12 - 2pm food
2-5pm - lay on the beach more
5pm - prosecco in the hot tub
7pm - out for aperitivo
9pm - dinner
10pm - BED

Yeah we were doing half-board or whatever it’s called so the strategy was to max out the breakfast buffet so we wouldn’t need to eat until dinner. Boom.

See I don’t understand that.

We maxed out the breakfast buffet each day but were still hungry by lunch time. I also had to have a mid afternoon aranchini each day!!
Same with @anon5266188 and his sandwich yesterday night cause he had a big lunch. Makes no sense to me? I’d still be starving!

Spent 5 odd hours of my commuting for a couple of years, so 4 sounds like a breeze.

I was only in the office 10 til half 3 most days though and spent a couple hours working on the train though, I couldn’t do it if it involved being in the office from 9 til 5.

No, six miles total. Whilst it isn’t as far as the length you’ve described, I still think I would take that walk on if the alternative was that long on a bus every day.

Your body obviously tells you it needs more food, more regularly than mine.

Think when I went to Spain a couple of years ago we did 3 days straight on eating lunch (a big lunch like a massive paella or something) and nothing else.

My eating patterns and habits are bad. I regularly get to like 1500 on a Saturday and realise I haven’t eaten and will then eat a disgusting amount of unhealthy food to make up for it. On the other hand I can also have days where I’ll boredom eat at 45 minute intervals for an entire day.

Sounds stressful and confusing and I am very grateful my bf is as much of a pig as I am.
I think i’d crumble if I went on holiday with someone who just wanted to eat half of the day. I want to eat for the entire day.
