Paradise is one of my favourite songs of the year but the album does nothing for me, is the first one a bit more propulsive?

I think if you like Paradise it’s worth a shot, the opening song is very similar at least. Both are very bleak but overall I think the debut is louder and more aggressive, whereas the new one feels more like a continuous deflation with a few energetic moments that try to counter it. I love both, for what it’s worth.

They’re playing Rough Trade East next Tuesday in case anyone fancies it.

Anyone going to the London show on fri? Cant convince any pals to see them again so soon

Tempted. Saw them yesterday. Great fun.

Ah nice, at rough trade? Wish i still worked in shitditch!

Yep. At Rough Trade.

I’m sort of thankful I don’t work in East London anymore. I went to far more gigs than I do now. It meant a lot more drinking.

Spent a lot of time the last two days listening to the new album and it’s really clicked a lot. Not sure there’s a tune I love as much You Let My Tyres Down but I think it’s definitely stronger than ALDIM overall.

Got a spare for tomorrow if anyone wants it. Can transfer on Dice. Will take a tenner!

This guy is a dumbass

yep, I pulled the trigger way early on recommending that podcast - was just grateful to get a TFS band interview on anything

but this turned out to be pretty bad

Got 2 spare tickets for tonight now, can’t even give them away!

Start a new thread maybe? I would imagine that most people in this thread who were thinking of going already have tickets (although @BMS1 sounded undecided up ^there)…

Good plan, will give it a go!

There’s a chance I might end up going still, will hit you up in a bit!

Cool - Dice shut off ticket transfers at 5pm though…

Too many nights out this week for me. I’ll be sensible and have a dry night indoors after my late shift tonight (even though my late shift location isn’t far away from Angel).
