I think so, too, people have via voting for him legitmised his opinions about women, people of colour, Muslims, people with disabilities, the list goes on. Itās absolutely indefensibleā¦but at the same time, trying to work out the thinking processes of these voters, it looks like people have voted on the issues most dear to them, in lots of cases jobs, the economy, healthcare and to a lesser extent firearms.
Surely the point that needs addressing is not whether people are or arenāt racist, but why thereās such an ambivalence from so many people towards wider issues compared to personal ones. Why do so many people only care about their lot and not the bigger picture? Whyās that moral disconnect occured, where, and where do we even begin to address it? Not sure people fighting Trumpās fire with fireās the way to go, as disappointing and frankly unbelievable as it is heās got in.
