Evening all

Day was pretty crap tbh but itā€™s over. Iā€™m taking comfort in the fact that work only lasts a finite amount of hours, and I have a nice home to go home to
Dinner was chicken and chorizo paella, which is a new firm favourite in the CCB household
Success has been hard to come by, but I restrung my guitar. And my new kitchen shelves look lovely.

Bitty day, but cocktail and leftover lasagne are good outros

Also very happy to be back in my reading with records in the evening phase

Started Rivals, as the zeitgeist requires

Feel run down and generally shite. Bed soon, I think.

Very bad start to the day, then picked up and just went for a lovely walk in the dark. Spent a while staring at Middlesbrough across the water and pretending to be in Blade Runner.

Had sweet potato rosti for dinner with some sort of basil vegan ā€˜butterā€™. Was very nice.

Successfully finished the tip runs today.

Just fuming at how hard and time consuming a ā€œquickā€ jumper is turning out to be for a friendā€™s baby. Want to throw it on a fire - some of it looks awful :pensive:

Got some work to finish thatā€™s definitely not happening by 9.30am tomorrow, but Iā€™ll do what i can whilst binging horror films tonight.

Maybe cheese on toast for tea? Idk

Nice. Is that from Redcar or Saltburn? Driving down the A174 at night always gives me blade runner vibes.

Hello.

Day was fine, nice shortish day at work because of engineering work. Someone had given my train a bit of a new paint job.

Dinner was a fancy pizza. Sainsbo taste the difference job - salami, chorizo, prosciutto and I embellished it with some jalapenos and pink pickled onion.

As for successā€¦ Errā€¦ I biked home from work when I had been considering getting the train home.

Day: both me and my wife are ill. Involved a slow morning with a walk into town and a trip to the library. A slow afternoon playing snap, pairs, reading with my daughter and watching Funnybones. This evening will involve doing the sum of fuck all.

Food: fish, chips, peas and sweetcorn. Got another knoppers peanut for afters. Brewing up a fennel tea for me and a lemon ginger and honey concoction for my wife.

Success: nah.

Day
Day was actually quite nice. A bit like yesterday, it was a bit of a busy one, but not like stressful or anything - so I can kind of mostly get on with it and look forward to how Friday is going to be a nice and VERY WELCOME work-from-home day. Also I met up with a friend for lunch, which was really nice. Probably the only stressy thing really is that thereā€™s some filming coming up on Thursday that might have me getting home late / being really knackered / but heeeeyyy.

Food
Chilli pasta lads. Bit of a carb-rich day cause as I say, I met a pal for lunch and had a veggie burger with chips (and the obligatory brownie) aaaaaand admittedly I also snarfed the sandwiches Iā€™d packed during the working day too. SUE ME! Iā€™m a well-fed lad.

Success
Beats me. I feel like I made some nice progress on work stuff - kind of typing a bit of a short story, so thatā€™s a little creative thing too. Otherwise, not really. It feels like people in my life are making me feel very appreciated lately, which is heartwarming.

Day?
Fine - did almost all of my outstanding marking and planning.

Food?
Cauli curry for tea - it was OK but cold have gone more spice.

Success?
6/10? I forgot to get The Child on the way home so reversed straight out of the driveway to correct that mistake.

Iā€™ve seen this Agatha from Rivals in something but itā€™s not showing on IMDb.

Itā€™s annoying me
