Managed a good solid hour of working from home and now I’m just twiddling the mouse (never heard it called etc etc etc) to keep Lync from betraying me.

My gf is going to be at the same work seminar as me later. Going to spend the rest of the morning trying to think of ways I can wind her up while still being professional. Best I’ve got so far is pretending to not know her while introducing myself to her colleagues, as she’s told them who I am. I think I can do better.

Morning!

Last thing I played on the guitar? I think I was playing some Iron and Wine when I was sat up in bed a couple of nights ago

Last vinyl I listened to? Can’t remember. Haven’t had a working record player since uni

Last person to fall asleep in my arms? Mrs CCB

AOB? My knee and shoulder and hip hurt after I fell off my bike yesterday. Evening!

probably something by pavement
otis blue
my dog

Read about that last night. What the actual fuck, that’s such a busy stretch to be cycling the wrong way down.

Glad it wasn’t any worse.

Lol. No.

Hello everyone.

Bit bored today. Saw a couple of films at the cinema last night (Little Men and Hunt For The Wilderpeople), both were :100: and I didn’t fall asleep!

Was gonna go out tonight again as well but I cba. Two nights out of the flat in a row feels extravagant.

Tomorrow is my one year anniversary of working here and apparently we’re having a “disaster planning” scenario and there’s a chance we might all get sent home. Excellent.

Why not?

Are the 2 things related?

I know. The guy said that he was just crossing the road but who does that? He was riding his bike the wrong way up a cycle lane. (Unless he was just using the bike lane to get round to the corner to a crossing, but still). As you said, just glad it wasn’t worse.

There’s a back-route that skirts Parker’s Piece and then heads down Gresham Road, but there are as many kamikaze cyclists and pedestrians along there.

Awesome, sounds like the rich ingredients to me (though the travelling is a bit of a ball ache).

Off to my mates do on Friday, couple of lost days in the Shropshire wilderness with a great crew and all the booze and fun :grinning: also got 2 weeks off after with a more civilised break with the fams for the wedding in the middle of it, should feel redeemed eventually…

:relaxed:

it’s been a running joke at work for the past fortnight

I just find it absurd that if youre aware its a busy train why would you purposefully sit on the aisle seat hoping no one asks you. Just move up and make it easier for other people to get in and on without hassle.

mr pn came off his bike on Friday evening after someone stepped into a cycle superhighway without looking. he tried to swerve and braked and someone went into the back of him. his knee swelled right up and was really shaken. people are fucking stupid.

all the time i shout at people to get out of the road. this morning, i’m waiting at a junction (as the lights are red) to turn left. my lights go green but still loads of people are crossing the road (the crossing man is red) and when i shout at people asking what they’re doing they just tell me to fuck off. if i was a car they wouldn’t be crossing the road ffs.

That’s how I feel about Krakow - it’s probably a lovely city when you’re not shitfaced too and I’d like to see that side of it.
