Just found out that my STUPID friend who I haven’t seen in AGES and that it would be LOVELY to see is going to be in town on Sunday, when I was planning on going a-penoiding in London.

I pissed around after my Masters for about two years working in call centres and offices before I decided to try teaching. I’m never going to recommend it as a career but I like my job now, although whether that’s because I’ve become more mature/ boring or because I’ve found my vocation I don’t know…

My cat has brought 2 mice in today, at least one of which she managed to work out how to kill. Last one was a little baby one an hour ago, still alive and squeaking. I look forward to being woken up at 3am when she brings in the next one.
I just got woken up by ridiculously loud thunder. It felt like the house shook, it must have been very close. The cats are cowering in the wardrobe.
The lightening is pretty amazing though.
