I prefer organising stuff for others too. When it’s for me, its totally different and I rarely enjoy it as I spend too much time stressing leading up to it then during the event worrying about everyone having a good time. I hope you’re not the same!

Years ago I found a badminton partner on Gumtree - you could try that? There’s also badminton clubs that play for fun.

I didn’t think of Gumtree! I’d been looking on this thing ‘meetups’ to no avail. I know there’s a club near me but I’m quite sure only senior citizens inhabit it.

And the last time I joined a group of seniors for a game, although suffering from a cold, I got absolutely thrashed in singles and let our side down in doubles…

They’ll help with the basics if there’s time, but otherwise it’s me and my parents and my brother doing all the work really. But seeing as I know how everything works there etc it’s not too bad.
