I had two (2) not chicken Kievs and a whole tin of baked beans. Glorious.

I also did very little work today because the lack of prescription meth finally kicked my buttocks today and I feel like a slug. Back on it tomorrow though.

Evening all!

Tea was a bit of a rubbish tuna pasta salad. There’s about two meals’ worth of leftovers too.

I’m going to see The Jesus Lizard in about half an hour.

Good evening,

For tea, quorn pieces and broccoli in a sticky gochujang sauce.

For entertainment… video games, bit of soccer on TV.

Drinking Guinness zero for the first time. It is both ‘nice’ and ‘good’ imo.

Tomato & sardine pasta while watching Nosferatu (1922). It’s what Nosferatu would’ve wanted.

Alright. Made a roast butternut squash risotto for tea. Having a water then going to Tesco for a big shop.

I also did absolutely no work today. But that’s something for tomorrow rich-t to worry about.

Evening. Did carbonara. Then cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the cats litter tray and now I’m waiting for a grocery delivery. Woo.

Finishing some work in front of the TV and the fireplace.

Had some soup and chicken for dinner. and can’t stop eating chocolate still after Christmas.

Alright

Finished work early to go M&S sale shopping solo. Got a dress & cardi for me and a jumper for mini. Also got a bottle of Malbec from the food hall so just opened that to have while (re)watching Green Wing.

Tea was spinach and ricotta pasta with red pepper pesto and some fancy bread thing. Lovely.

Rest of evening will be wine, tv, reading, sleep.

Had mac and gochujang “cheese” with kimchi and broccoli. It was…challenging.

Evening all

Dinner was that Ottolenghi baked rice dish with pomegranate, walnut etc. The eldest isn’t mad keen on walnuts so I made a sort-of pesto with walnuts, olives and pomegranate molasses, which goes with the mint, pomegranate seeds and feta.

(I wonder if one of the great generational shifts is the difference in what we feed our children compared with what our parents fed us? Or whether that’s just my own personal experience? No disrespect to my mum by the way - I think it’s just how most parents in the 80s/90s cooked)

Feeling a bit better after a day in bed

Baked potato, Mad Men, Star Wars Ep 2 for the evening

Did a bucketload of work today, as it was really weighing me down.

Ginger, soy, and chilli salmon with buttered green vegetables for dinner.

Will finish Playing Nice on TV (decent in places, okay in the rest)

Ate a large bowl of mince for tea.

Pasta Bolognese for dinner. Sitting down now and so far, touch wood, neither child has required me to trudge upstairs for some trifling nonsense.

Very tired again.

Really feels like January now doesn’t it
