That was a depressing watch. Given the run around by Arsenal’s second/youth team. Shame we couldn’t quite get our best 11 out, if that early sitter had gone in we could’ve made a game of it.

Bendtner did ok, he’s got a good touch. Still our third choice striker, mind you. He better not ever get a game ahead of Assombalonga

You’d think with all that money spent they’d be able to beat Preston at home tbh

Feel like the first elbow you throw into Diego Costa’s face should be a freebie tbh.

Chelsea deciding to play after the ninety minutes are up.

We’re a ridiculous football team. First choice side lose 5-0 to Brentford on Saturday, then we make 10 changes and are giving as good as we get against a side worth roughly £280million. YCMIU.

It usually is.

Tbf that should be our first choice midfield pairing when Ramsey’s out, and they basically ran the show for us with the help of Perez (another first XI player) and to a lesser extent Jeff Adelaide, who’ll probably be Good.

glad to finally have confirmation that Brentford > Bournemouth

Can’t argue with that science.

Think this is one of the major problems at United… http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/09/20/manchester-united-manager-jose-mourinhos-criticism-of-players-na/

In that they have a pretty large group of very entitled, older senior players who are willing to take their manager down if he doesn’t give in to their demands. Dunno whose agent dictated that article to the guardian but it could easily be about 4 or 5 of them. Can easily see them trying (or threatening) to turn the younger players against him as well.

also his breakaway goal is exactly what he does best.

wrote guardian here even though I thought telegraph in my head.

Yeah I liked that. He seems pretty good, if not yet match fit.

don’t really understand this match fitness thing with him tbh. he had a full pre-season with us, so he definitely hasn’t been sat on the couch all summer.

Cripes! Did Everton really play their first team?

Maybe it’s more ‘bedding in time’ that he needs, idk. I’d just expect him to take a while to get up to speed with us, so wouldn’t be too surprised if Alexis is first choice ST until the next international break (also cos Wenger’s developed an infuriating habit of leaving it months before giving new players a proper chance in the team)
