Toilet is broken AGAIN. Dad thinks he can fix it, so he’s coming round again tonight.

somebody on the level above us keeps trying to aggressively enter the toilet when I’m in there. I feel like if I have to explain that a red circle below the door handle means occupied I MEAN HOW HARD IS IT

gf used to have a dr salvador labrador who sent her emails at work. he used to always attach pictures of his garden

I needed something to cheer me up last night and my son provided it.

He’d written (quite a long) auto-biographical rap which, once he’d edited it and removed the line about his sister ‘being a dick’, not to mention multiple f-bombs, was actually pretty good. Heavily Hamilton influenced, although with more football chat and less 18th Century American politics.

Just remembered it and it’s given me a right grin on the old acheyface.

A chip off the old block, clearly.

Haha. I did a similar thing when I was in middle school - we used to have day where the “old folks” (I’m guessing old people from a nearby home) used to come into the school for some sort of afternoon tea / entertainment thing (???) and we were invited to perform for them. My friend Amy and I did a rap to the tune of one of the songs off the original Wipeout PlayStation game. We both wore bodywarmers and bright orange Diadora football shirts. The fucking 90s ffs.

It’s a change in mindset that’s needed - the cost of flights doesn’t represent the actual environmental cost, and for people of a certain age, they came from not being able to afford to fly in the 60s/70s, through to the 90s when the cost of flights came down and companies like Easyjet sprung up where it was cheaper to fly to Spain than it was to drive to Devon for example.

Part of me is with you that people shouldn’t fly, but there’s another selfish part of me, which I’m not proud of, which thinks about what the situation might be like in even five years time when attitudes (and cost) will be more in line with the impact flights have, and that if you’ve got the opportunity now to take it before it goes away. (Although for a lot of people they might be completely oblivious to this situation and are just flying place because they can)

That’s one hell of a sweater.

Poole is go!

Fully expecting to find a pool on the pitch when we get there and a swift journey home.

Devon; at it again

That’s really good to hear

Ok so Bright Eyes have just been added to the line-up of the Øya festival in August, alongside already confirmed acts such as The Strokes, Bikini Kill, Bon Iver, Solange, etc etc. See you there, gang!

Just exceptionally bored today

I love these where are they from?

They are actually from h&m but I grabbed them as a brand new never worn bargain on eBay :astonished:

(Don’t think they are on the website or being sold anymore)
