WHY AREN’T YOU WEARING GLOVES?

he wants that lovely “old book smell” on his fingers

And you always need somewhere to wipe your fingers after you eat lunch, don’t you?

Drew my secret santa from work and it’s somebody I know completely nothing about. Every year I think ‘hmm maybe I’ll opt out this year’ and every year I convince myself it’ll be worth it if I get my Phantom Thread breakfasting colleague and wrap up a shit load of egg custards.

Seriously though, what kind of ballpark figure would it cost me to buy that?

Is it genuine?

keep going

Save it until Thursday!

Old books seem to have a range of smells. Some are pleasant, others are totally rank where a book smells like it has soaked up piss and been left to fester for a few decades (the used books place I worked was somewhat different to your place of employment though).

Just bought my present for DiSmas… Hoping it’s an inspired choice after a good hour and a half of research…

Shoulders are totally fucked from hunching over my laptop today though - partially through bad posture, partially trying to cover the screen with my ample frame so no-one knows I’ve been skipping work.

welcome!

yo yo yo

got the flat to myself again tonight

absolutely nothing of note to report really

COR.

I was gonna ask you actually xylo, my pal has an old copy of The Iliad (Macmillan 1911). Not as sexy as this obv but do you reckon it’s worth holding on to?

P.S. Why do you not wear gloves when handling old books? The pages might disintegrate.

I also got someone I don’t know much about other than their kids are the cutest children I’ve ever met.

Fucks sake, so you can’t even get them another cute child because they’ve already got some. Selfish.

I know right.

I keep looking at their desk when I walk past for clues but so far, not much luck.
