The dramatisation of the Stephen Port case starts tonight and then the next 2 nights. By all accounts it’s dealt with delicately and highlights the multiple fuck ups from the police. It was made some time ago but was delayed until the criminal trial has been concluded.
Started Brand New Cherry Flavor (Netflix) over the break. It’s alright.
Nailed through the new series of Cobra Kai. Enjoyed it previously and this season is still good but probably could have cut out a few episodes, fair bit of filler and also felt a bit transitional with the introduction of a number of new young characters, who I’m guessing they’ll focus more on in forthcoming seasons as the other main kids leave for college etc.
Toast of Tinseltown now on iplayer!
Hope they wind it in with the big stars a bit, a bit distracting.
Best televisual programme in years.
Especially liked Dr Harold Shitman.
Is Stay Close any good?
It is not. Quite entertaining though.
Been meaning to watch this, thanks for the reminder!
Finished it last night and it was decent. Don’t want to give anything away but (this isn’t a spoiler, but I’ll hide it anyway just in case it’s too much info)
Summary
the final scene is absolutely shit and really annoyed me.
Anyone watched Yellowjackets?
Watched the first two episodes of the LuLaRoe documentary on Prime last night.
Find these really obvious pyramid schemes kinda fascinating, especially cos almost nobody involved recognises (or admits to recognising) it as what it is.
There’s also one guy who’s basically the Cousin Greg of this wacky family enterprise but actually has a bit of self awareness about the whole thing and he’s pretty entertaining in the interviews.
Yes, I’ve watched the first 4 or 5. My interest has waned a bit since the excellent first episode (realised after that it was directed by Karyn Kusama, so of course it was great)
Will continue watching though. Has some fun characters. Possibly tonight actually if I get a chance
even more intrigued now…
A bit narked about the Great being shifted on to Starz play.
