I really liked Carole & Tuesday - it’s about two young women living on a terraformed Mars trying to make it as musicians.

It’s by Shinichirō Watanabe, who did Cowboy Bebop (which is :sunglasses::heart::heart::heart: but I don’t think is on there at the moment, but will probably come back as they’re doing a live action remake)

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. is excellent - about a deadpan teenage psychic that wants to draw as little attention to themself as possible.

The Tom Huddlestone Corialanus is alright.

Might give it a watch, we’re planning to cancel by the end of the month so still some time

Neon Genesis Evangelion is great but you have to stick with it. It’s 26 episodes and a film the end of Evangelion. It’s my favourite TV show so I won’t bore you about it.

You will need someone to hug at the end of it. Be warned.

He also did Kids On The Slope which I really like, about some teenagers who like jazz in mid 60s Japan. Honestly, it’s great.

Yerma is on there as well still I think?

Was pretty sold on this just from that description, but Yoko Kanno does the music? :sunglasses:

Use All4 on fire stick and haven’t had any issues.

Plus it’s the only place to watch Cowboy Bebop so… its fucking brilliant.

Holy fuck the iPlayer has an archival documentary series up called ‘The Paras’ from the 70s/80s and in the final episode they go to northern ireland. The paras clearly hate Irish people and have a complete lust for blood. Like they have no understanding of what the paras mean in this place.

This is honestly so wild, they’re talking about how the paras could help in the event of a soviet invasion of Europe

Reading this in a northern Irish accent makes this a lot funnier than it should be :grinning:

Oh, I was making the same joke too. Until I saw the play which is EXTREMELY depressing.

Honestly, this was a real fear / expectation in the mid 80s. Definitely part of the cultural / political furniture of the time.

Used to love playing this on my ZX Spectrum:

although in that delightful way adolescent boys have, I pretty much ignored the pacifist message and tried to ignite nuclear war as quickly as I could.

The only way to play video games imo is to be as awful as the game will allow
