I’ve started watching Steven Universe, it’s good so far

I also think it was the dad

Have you seen the latest episode?

I’ve worked it out. I’m so sure I have I don’t want to post my theory and ruin it for anyone :grinning:

It’s great. Where are you watching it?

Only properly seen the first season because the streaming rights seem to be a mess here. Netflix had season 1, then added 4&5 (?!?). It’s far too arc-heavy to skip ahead and never worked out how to watch the rest. Now TV has some episodes but not all.

The theme tune is seared into my brain (at least it’s a good 'un). My second was born last summer and for the first couple of months the larger one had a freer rein with the remote than he usually would/should. He absolutely rinsed Steven Universe.

Yeah, it is super confusing trying to track down what is available. I’ve got an Australian DVD boxset which covers seasons 1-4, so that helps cover a big chunk, but beyond that it looks like Netflix has most but not all of season 5 (why not all?!), the film is on Amazon Prime and with Future 6 episodes out of 20 are currently on Amazon Prime. I guess I’ll play it by ear once I reach season 5 :frowning:

Where are you viewing from? I “found” the first ep and struggling to find the rest… Sadly not on Sky Atlantic / Sky Comedy like most HBO stuff.

Anyone watch Small Axe : Mangrove on BBC on Sunday?

Really, really good stuff. Some top, top acting and an incredible score.

Didn’t know anything about the story beforehand.

Looking forward to the other 4 that are on over the next few weeks (I think)

Yes, watched it last night. I no longer think the dad did it - too obvious. My new theory is that Nicole Kidman did it but she doesn’t remember because she has blocked it out somehow. What’s your theory?

Interesting

I think Nicole and Hugh’s son did it . Donald Sutherland knows this and is actively working to get Hugh done for the crime to protect his grandson

Yes, came in here to ask the same. Thought it was absolutely fantastic, very moving but also very grounded. Also had similar vibes to Pride I thought, they have a particular British feel to them, but in a good way somehow.

This poster for the final season of Modern Family made it look like the show was going to end with the end of the world or the characters committing mass suicide

Am kinda hate-watching The Undoing. It’s just about interesting enough, but some of the acting is very broad - Nicole Kidman’s “shocked/stunned” expression would shame a footballer who has just seen a throw-in go the other way.

:joy: there was another hilarious bit this week when she was shown the picture Eleanor had painted of her

Also the opening titles for it are absolutely horrendous

And yes, lockdown is going great, thanks.

Yep, thought it was very good, captivating performances and dramatised a bit of history I knew nothing about… but I also found it too long and visually uninteresting (based on my expectations of a Steve McQueen film).

Enjoyed it overall and looking forward to the rest of them though.

Just caught up on it tonight.

I thought that the performances were excellent throughout the whole cast, and it was a nice treat to see wonderful kids TV favourite Derek Griffiths playing the towering CLR James.

I did think that it was a bit visually underwhelming though - maybe I expected more from McQueen, but it looked a bit cheap, compared to what I was expecting.
