Surprisingly I don’t! I seem to know where everyone is and what they’re doing. Plus I listen to a podcast every week where they go through everything and take the piss out of people so it’s like I’m just chatting to some girls about it.

Currently:
Below Deck
RHOC
RHOA
RHOD
RHONJ
(Plus Kardashians and Jersey Shore Family Reunion but I don’t really count them for some reason)

We’re having a little break before picking RHOA back up for season 8 and can’t start anything else cause I’ll get too confused!

Have you ever seen Terrace House @meowington?

Thinking of watching that soon.

I do this frequently as well - I think I’ve only seen the final couple of episodes of Band of Brothers a couple of times whilst watching everything up to episode 8 dozens.

Same with Borgen, The Bridge, The Detecorists etc.

I haven’t. Just looked it up and seems very much up my street!

Maybe i’ll try it today…

Serious business now

  • There is no such thing as background tv for me.
  • Background tv is very much a thing for me

If I’m watching a tv show and I start fiddling with my phone.

  • That tells me that this is not a show for me and I’ll stop watching it
  • Then maybe it’s a duff episode because this is unusual for me
  • This is standard, the show might be great but I’ll still be texting and checking shit out on my phone

I must admit I get confused between Beverly Hill and Orange County so I’m glad they’re not on at the same time.

Not much has happened in Atlanta so far but looks like Kim Zolziak isn’t gonna be involved in it much.

All the reviews are great even though nothing seems to happen and there’s about 50 episodes so lots of binge potential.

I’ve answered across the board here that I stick with things. And that’s generally true.

I also stuck with Dexter until the end.

I’ve not watched any of the new Walking Dead yet but will probably binge through it when it the mid season break arrives. Even went back to Fear the Walking Dead after giving up three episodes into season 2.

However, however, I did totally quit Agents of SHIELD. A rare one.

I did finish the Bridge but I can’t remember what happened so I don’t feel any more sated for having completed it.

re. the second poll: it depends.

Some shows work best when tweeted along to like communal viewing (usually the british contest shows like bake off or strictly or x-factor, the apprentice), others aren’t.

Obviously show dependent, but in general, once you have gotten in to a show with all episodes available:

  • I’ll watch all episodes as quickly as I can
  • I’ll watch a couple of episodes in a sitting
  • I’ll watch a few a week
  • I’ll watch them slowly and savour them.

I’m really bad at this. I was loving The Deuce last year and for some reason never watched the last two episodes of season 1. Season 2 has now been and gone too.

Have recently stopped watching The Sopranos at Season 4 episode 2, even though I was loving it too.

Life gets in the way I suppose

One episode a night with dinner. Because that’s all the TV I watch. Yes that does make me better than everyone, thank you for noticing.

Real issue with this now that I live with my girlfriend who loves to burn through telly. Did 3 episodes of Killing Eve in one sitting which was massively overdoing it and definitely tainted my enjoyment of the show.

Have some strict rules in my house about what I will watch on the proper telly in the living room and what is acceptable to watch on a laptop in bed. ‘Prestige’ telly - strictly living room. Comedies, shows I don’t think are that good, gameshows, documentaries etc - laptop in bed. Also watch comedies on my phone whilst commuting and at lunch

The majority of my telly watching is:

  • Living room telly
  • Laptop/tablet in bed/sofa/dining table etc
  • Mobile
