Lots of trees down on the way home. I took this picture whilst stationary and it ticks a number of Accidental Partridge boxes: local radio station playing, English Heritage badge in the windscreen, Norfolk villages on the signs ahead.

Probably the worst I’ve seen in East Anglia! Overturned buses, fallen trees everywhere, power lines down, trains fucked up… Not quite on the scale of the “hurricane” of 1987 but a good proper old-fashioned gale.

cleared out the freezer tonight cos I’m moving, so now I’m drinking a ‘frozen wu-wu sorbet’ which was lurking in the back. Tastes like jam.

Listened to Ibibio Sound Machine’s new album on NPR earlier, it was great. Anyone who feels like partying should check it out.

just ate the biggest pizza of all time. tesco are doing these ‘takeaway’ pizzas’, and I couldn’t even fit it in a bag. also 2.50 introductory price.

ah it was kinda nice in the end, my friend was 50 when he died and I knew him for about 10 years but everyone else there was from an earlier time in his life really but just good to hear funny stories and show my love and respect.

Still missing him.

Just got back from seeing Touché Amore and Angel Dust. It was a good gig but the sound at Islington Academy was atrocious.

Day off tomorrow, so a nice long weekend.

Went for a walk earlier. Saw a bit of a funk gig but got pissed off because the guitarist was having trouble and the soundman was ignoring her. That shit irritates me so much.

Left that, met a friend at her work night out, then found my housemate at another gig just down the street. Home now after an unintentional night of socialising. Fucking love this city.
