I think it’s just a terrible idea over all. I’ve worked in a few pubs that have hosted them and once even played a gig at the final pub on a crawl. Every single time was fucking awful.

I’m not denying that, it’s terrible all round. It’s just even more terrible in Crawley, I can’t actually think of that many pubs to be honest.

Me and a bunch of friends have been doing this for a decade. Use it as an excuse to meet up annually.

Choose a spot in London we don’t know very well and visit 12 pubs near there. Usually find you get a few gastro pubs, some old school boozers and a handful of REALLY shady ones. Got to see some lovely spots over the years such as Willesden, Rotherhithe, West Brompton, Tottenham Hale, Leyton and Deptford.

This isn’t a leisurely thing. I’ve seen ten minute time limits being put in place in each pub before. Twelve pints or shots in around two hours is not to be sniffed at.
