Dont read this if youve not watched the new eps. I’m a big fan of GC but i’m worried they’re overusing him in the new series.

I do too but it does go on a bit

really like how awkward any conversations involving lucy are

I feel like it’s nutty enough to work, and to some degree, it’s where the show needs to be 25 years later, considering how the show ended; the alternative is a focus on Twin Peaks where everyone is asking “Where’s Cooper?” for an interminably long amount of time.

even then, by the end of episode 3, it seems like they’ve mostly left the Black Lodge behind, even if they’re still cleaning up its aftermath.

Will surely be a reckoning for evil cooper. Unless evil coop has the last laugh again! Imagine!

These band appearances are like the oc or something

I did think that at first and then thought he must have just aged really badly, he has a similar gait

It saddens me to think of how good this show WAS though, how when I first saw them it completely blew my mind and became so enamoured with the characters. I was almost cheering certain characters on when they came on screen by the end, they felt so much larger than just tv. I get the impression less fortunate people feel the same way about game of thrones or breaking bad these days.
But this is just devoid of all that, and I don’t think it’s really me that’s changed.

it might all come together and then reward repeat viewings but at the moment it just isn’t cohesive enough to be enjoyable (except for standalone interesting visual scenes), the original was enjoyable on first viewing (except James on a motorbike obviously). I went to that weekend marathon at battersea arts centre a few years back, can’t imagine wanting to do that with this

nevermind

Got to agree with Incadenza here, Heather Graham in Twin Peaks makes me go all quiet.

Imagine having both her and Sherilyn Fenn in the same TV program. IMAGINE.

A lot of complaints seem to be that it’s not the same as Twin Peaks 1990

I do miss the original’s memorable characters and gripping storyline. Four episodes into this new one and I couldn’t tell you anything about the new characters, what the old characters are doing, or what the season is about. I am not against it changing, its just what its changed to isn’t very good

Just finished episode 4. I think we’re all missing something really important here, and focusing on the wrong part of the puzzle.

Bobby is a cop!!!

Think it’s pretty clear by now, no? It’s purely going to be Cooper’s Odyssey and everything else is going to be completely secondary.
