Twin Towns / Cities

Bangor, ME is a twin city with Brewer, ME, just across the river. Obviously been there.
Also sister with Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada and Harbin, China, which has a population of 10 million, so Bangor have done well teaming up with those boys.

Yeovil has Herblay, France & Taunusstein, Germany & Samarate, Italy. No interesting facts about them.

Nottingham has a bunch. Many of which I’ve heard of.

Whitwell in Rutland is twinned with Paris because the mayor of whitwell or someone wrote and asked Paris if it would be its twin, and no one wrote back saying no so they just went with it.

Apparently.
