Kind of inevitably, this is a problem with Twitter slowly dying rather than something that can be fixed here.

That’s because stable genius Musk hates everything

They are back?

Darn. Thought I saw one working.

Amazon embeds don’t work since the migration. This was the last one to work in the Kindle thread Kindle book deals/discount thread (Rolling) - #505 by Scagden

Now it’s just URLs

Amazon embeds are unlikely to come back unfortunately - pretty sure that Amazon have blocked our new host’s ip address range. Will double check at some point for other options, but I doubt there’s much we can do.

Might have a solution. Added to my todo list.

Testing

Just enabled a setting but don’t think it worked.

There’s a warning on the top of here so I think it’s a Musk thing

@zeal i just followed this component install but it didn’t work. Not sure if the site needs to be rebooted for the change to kick in?

Interesting. Looks like it shouldn’t need it - would you mind making me an admin on here briefly so I can take a look at the admin settings - happy to be kicked back down to level 2 afterwards.

Think that’s working about as well as it can now? Not perfect, but much better.

Amazing scenes! Thank you!

Pages are jumping around while loading now which I think is due to the new embeds (it’s more pronounced in the social media threads), it means if it tries to open at the first of the new posts it sometimes ends up somewhere else.

Yeah, this an unfortunate side effect

Called it out as one of the impacts on this poll → Twitter embeds - two options [POLL]

It will also cause the page to “jump” as the tweet renders.

Will see how many people complain and may reassess if it’s bothering too many people.
