Worst thing about snooker at the moment is John Higgins is in great form. Heā€™ll probably win this too the porky cunt given the way everyone else is getting dispatched.

Stuck a cheeky WFH day in on Friday so I could bang it on all day. Bet Iā€™ll get stuck watching Murphy or Higgins or possibly both. Ugh.

seems mental that players are losing money or making less than minimum wage when playing in the same tournaments as the world number 1

What a final! Havenā€™t seen a UK Final with that much sheer quality since Trump and Allen were knocking in centuries all over the place. Brilliant end to whatā€™s been a cracking tournament.

Fair play to Selby. Double triple crown winner now - heā€™s in amongst the greats. I donā€™t find him that boring - his potting and break buildingā€™s as good as anyone and thereā€™s something compelling about watching him strangle his opponents. Seems like a good bloke too - had a really rough upbringing so deserves the spoils snooker brings. Been number 1 for 3 seasons now when the overall top 16 standard has never been higher. Definitely one of the best ever now, no question.

Odd to see The Jester finally having the upper hand over Ronnie though. Ronnie used to smash him up regularly but now seems like itā€™s Selby whoā€™s got the psychological edge in this.

Pretty accurate too probably. But Ronnie himself has said on a number of occasions heā€™s never played better than when he was a teenager. Thatā€™s where his frustrations come from - never being able to replicate that in his own head.

Itā€™s a tough one this pay lark. Hearnā€™s done wonders and Iā€™d hear him out in it but I do think there needs to be some level of preliminary round/seeding systems in some tournaments plus some level of expenses being paid. Heā€™s right that itā€™s tough but professional should mean professional more than it does I think.
