Prompted to start this after watching The Evolution of Black British Music on Netflix as well as realising I like the work of Conducta and Interplanetary Criminal, but not knowing much about the genre apart from it being everywhere 20-25 years ago.

Absolutely massive 98-01ish from memory. Most popular genre in the country for a period I’d argue. Completely caught the mood of the time and has probably influenced a lot of stuff across genres since. I like a lot of the chart stuff still, must say. I think musically a lot of it’s aged quite well.

Possibly. I’d say they would have both happened cos of jungle though.
