thought it was shappsy boy

Rest of the year it is (apart from special occasions), but it’s a long-standing Christmas traditionz that Shappsy-baby hurries down the chimney at Christmas.

Actually tell a lie, there’s this

That’ll show her

Tories massively losing in a by-election isn’t the most surprising thing of the day, but it’s got all the right signs that people don’t want to vote conservative at the moment. 22 per cent of the vote in a seat they won in 2010 under Cameron is dismal.

“it’s Labour’s turn” just highlights how devalued UK democracy is, really.

Not sure how much to read into this, but you have to scroll right down to the bottom to find the Tory share of the vote (where stats like turnout, their share last time around etc are in the main article)

Curtice has been doing a long long bit with lots of comparisons which ultimately comes down to “yeah the polls are right”

Wouldn’t be surprised if Starmer went with “It’s Labour’s turn” as the slogan for the next election.

Sounds a bit Whitlam-era Australia:

Going back to working at a bank then.

Also nice to see someone with a worse signature than mine.
