Ideology but also donât think they did expected to be in power as long as they were. Got the sense that Cameron would have been quite happy to stand down after the 2015 election.
Then had to double down that austerity etc was neccesary and in the public interest otherwise they would have opened themselves up to a load of criticism/more questions.
It does, in fact, sound so much like the spurious, half thought through bull shit that one certain senior Tory Minister spouts to justify her rubbish that you find yourself wondering if thereâs been some sort of instruction issued that it be included and undue influence used to ensure itâs publishing.
