That’s fair enough to find him too irritating and not like that, but I’m surprised someone could find him not interesting. I was really enthralled by him as a character.
With regards to the walking around with the stone without security being unbelievable I don’t think the film is supposed to be that centred in reality, especially considering the massive bets paying off, the journeys through the opal, the orange guy at the casino, the two twins.
Its pretty centered in actual reality though isn’t it? So you have to believe a character would act that way. The guy seems to have a semi-successful jewel business already so surely wouldnt be acting like that.
Just back from seeing it a second time. Fucking hell is stressful. The tension just keeps growing.
I was with my pal who hadn’t seen it before and had had only 3 hours sleep from last nights shindig. About 45 mins in he leaned over and whispered ‘fuck me I’m tense, this film might kill me’
Loved it. Preferred Good Time I think. Went in totally blind to that, sort of knew what I was going to get with Uncut Gems. Did avoid spoilers, but the hype was just next level. Casting is so impressive. Every character is just looks and sounds amazing, especially…
It’s more of a slow burn I’d say, the mood and atmosphere’s pretty highly strung and tense throughout but I don’t think (although I’m not 100% sure) there’s any particularly gratuitous violence or gore or anything
