Upcoming Gigs 2019

#21

Wave Pictures at Summerhall in Edinburgh in January
Kathryn Joseph in Glasgow at the start of March

Looking for stuff in Newcastle.

Lemonheads are playing. I wonder if they’re actually good still? Last I heard Evan was still a bit of a car crash…

People on here have recommended Spielbergs, might go to that.

#22

Low, Barb
Modeselektor, Oval Space
The Beths, The Dome
Tauron Nowa Muzyka, some old mine in Katowice, Poland

Bit odd as I have been to one gig this year.

#23

Future of the Left - Lexington
Twilight Sad - Electric Ballroom
Idles - Norwich
Idles - Electric Ballroom
Spice Girls - Wembley Stadium :grimacing:

I also missed Daughters tickets and desperately want to go. May also give Drug Church a whirl.

#24

Is that the gig at Wylam Brewery? Got to be worth going just for the beer (for what it’s worth I’d heard from a friend that Evan Dando was on good form when he last saw him).

#25

It is indeed, and that’s a very good point…

#26

I’m surprisingly low on tickets for 2019 gigs. So far all that I have booked are:

Fucked Up in Brighton; and
Neil Young/Bob Dylan in Hyde Park

Need some more stuff in the diary.

#27

Just bought tickets for Lemonheads in Glasgow! Saw Evan play solo last year and he was great. He was slightly…frazzled (had to re-start songs a few times)…however, his voice still sounds great.

#28

Oooh haven’t heard of this before. My grandma lives a 20 minute cab from Katowice so this is very tempting. How much are the tickets?

#30

Less than £50, with KRAFTWERK HEADLINING: http://festiwalnowamuzyka.pl/en/ (price goes up in January I think)

That £50 gets you into the festival proper on the Friday and Saturday - stuff starts at 6-7pmish and goes on until the morning. There are smaller gigs in the city on the Thursday and Sunday which you either have to get separate tickets for, or get 3 or 4 day tickets (not on sale yet). This will be the fourth time I’ve been, it’s fucking excellent and easily the best festival I’ve been to.

#31

Looking deece so far…

  • Art Brut @ The Garage
  • Anna Calvi @ The Roundhouse
  • Dandy Warhols @ Brixton Academy
  • Ozzy Osbourne w/Judas Priest @ The O2
  • Oneohtrix Point Never @ The Roundhouse
  • Stealing Sheep @ EartH
  • Oneida @ Oslo
  • Beak> @ Islington Academy

Will also pick up Latitude tickets for all four of us at some point :+1:

#32

Just remembered I have also booked a ticket for The Chemical Brothers next November at Leeds Arena.

#33

Nearly forgot The Armed. Also Fluff Fest but that goes without saying.

#34

Not much so far.

Lost Under Heaven
Black Midi
Young Fathers
Idles
Murkage Dave
Sea Changes

#35

Sold out again! I was joking to my friend the other day about how I should buy a ticket even though it’s fucking ages away. Gratifying to see they’re popular, though!

#36

Forgot I’m also seeing Kiss at the O2.

#37

Looks like there still some knocking about outside of London.

#38

Black Midi at Bloc in January
Future of the Left at the Lexington in Feb

I think I might be able to wrangle some tickets for the London Daughters gig, if by the time it gets a bit closer I can’t I may well make the trip to Bristol for it.

#39

3 gigs so far in 2019.

Drug Church at Glasgow Garage Attic.
Spielbergs in the same venue.
Tears For Fears at the Hydro, Glasgow.

#40

Richard Dawson, The Star and Shadow (Newcastle)

Hoping to get to Pigsx7 at The Sage, Fucked Up at Think Tank?!, and probably others but…money is tiiiigggghhht at the moment.
