Upcoming Gigs (rolling)

What have you got coming up in the new year?

Just the 4 for me so far:

Anderson Paak - Alexandra Palace
Drenge - Electric Brixton
Tirzah - Scala
Built To Spill - Kentish Town Forum

Also hoping to get tickets to Daughters at The Dome but it’s sold out so that will likely be more of a FB event jobbie on the day.

You?

Pigs x 7 - Bristol
Pigs x 7 - Cardiff
Daughters - Bristol
Viagra Boys - Cardiff

Just Joyce Manor in Leeds atm.

Really wanted to see Fucked Up and Death Cab in January but both gigs are when I’m away with work. Might drag myself over to Manchester for Fucked Up instead.

Just Trail of Dead in February and Built To Spill in May atm, both at The Brudenell in Leeds

Edit: and the Disintegration State thing in Manchester in Feb

Scrap Daughters, just realised I hadn’t got a ticket and it’s sold out. Balls.

Fucked Up @ Garage
Low @ Barbican

Tempted by Bob Mould and Kamasi Washington too, but venue puts me off KW.

Scrap that it’s back on, looks like the venue sold out but See still have some…phew.

Need to sort a Low ticket out for their Brighton gig, but I think the only place they have any left is in Resident and I’m flat broke.

Currently only booked tickets for Fucked Up @ The Deaf Institute (maybe see you there @nemrac!) but got my eye on a couple of other Cardiff based gigs. Would also love to make it to the DiS State show too!

Have tickets for:

Loudon Wainwright at Royal Concert Hall
Sharon van Etten at St Lukes
Robyn at Alexandra Palace
Neil Young/Bob Dylan at Hyde Park

Will probably get tickets for:

Cate le Bon solo at St Lukes
Low at Tramway
The Cure etc at wherever that gig is

Expecting a quiet year, but pleased to have 1 a month lined up Jan - Mar

Jan:
The Delines @ Roisin Dubh, Galway (clashes with Death Cab in Dublin, but opted for the closer to home option)
Feb:
Neneh Cherry : The Academy, Dublin
Mar:
Sharon Van Etten: Vicar Street, Dublin

Would also love to make it to a DiS state show and meet some of you all. There seems to be a good contingent of us in Cardiff/Bristol if those organising wish to expand the tour

Although this is perhaps not the thread to drop such hints

Wave Pictures at Summerhall in Edinburgh in January
Kathryn Joseph in Glasgow at the start of March

Looking for stuff in Newcastle.

Lemonheads are playing. I wonder if they’re actually good still? Last I heard Evan was still a bit of a car crash…

People on here have recommended Spielbergs, might go to that.
