That’s the thing- his bizarre refusal to accept that he’s an old, bald fat man, when he was working in politics where that’s perfectly accepted and so are lots of his coworkers. His attempts to hide all of that with girdles, combovers, and makeup makes him look a million times worse and bizarre.
