Putin has been threatening nuclear retaliation since the day he decided to terrorise and invade the Ukraine. Genuinely if you google ‘Putin’ and ‘Nuclear’ it was pretty much every week during the first six months of invasion.

I ‘unno. Always found it hard to worry about a thing that will evaporate me. Yes, if Putin genuinely wants to trigger the end of everything he probably could. Mother Russia would be incinerated inside of a few hours of that all kicking off. Coulda done it when he found Ukraine was far better prepared than he’d expected. Coulda done it when it became clear he’d locked himself into an incredibly resource draining war that will very likely have no end and kill vast numbers of his younger generations, to the benefit of the rest of the west.
And yet, the landscape continues to look incredibly non nuclear 
(this isn’t flippancy about the war itself, just a reminder that the odds say nukes aren’t coming out)
