Was going to but got a wedding to go to tomorrow, glad to hear it’s not going to be a one-off though! The Brudenell is a great venue

Line-up is stacked, so excited.

should have impulse bought tickets :frowning:

Wish I was going to this. For Hookworms, Right Hand Left Hand, and Weddings especially. This has come at a really awkward time for me to try and make the journey from the north east. Looking forward to seeing those bands and Los Campesinos next year though!

If they can pull more lineups like this out of the bag then we’ve got a lot to look forward to!

Just listened to Weddings off the back of this line-up, so good!

Hiya!

Going to this! I’m really excited for it, a very nice event to be my last gig of the year.

WELL!?

I had a lovely time, they curated an amazing bill there all that for £22! Best money I ever spent.

Yeah that was fucking brilliant eh

Weddings were my favourite new discovery, LC!, Martha and Shopping were their usual levels of great. It was my first ever trip to the Brude and it turns out I know about half the bar staff.

Weddings were a real revelation to me, brilliant stuff, I’ll have to make a point to see them again. I wanted to go see Shopping because I’d done some listening beforehand and really liked it, then it turns out I’ve been listening to a completely different band also called Shopping (maybe with three Ps though) but this one from yesterday are loads better, sound like ESG meets The B5s, love it! A room full of people singing along to Trust Fund nearly brought a tear to my eye, every other time I’ve seen them it’s been to a crowd of about 7 mildly interested people.

So so so good. Amazing day of music. Great atmosphere throughout. Martha are fucking brilliant. Weddings were great too.

Wasn’t sold on Weddings, I’ve got to say. However, Trust Fund, Martha, Hot Shorts and Pale Kids are all my new favourite band.

Was Hookworms’ set cut short? I don’t know if I just missed the first bit while I was waiting for my pizza outside or if they were affected by the power cut.

Yeah, MJ said at the start of their set they were going to play old stuff and new stuff but because of the power cut they could only play old stuff.

:frowning:

Well, happy I didn’t miss anything because of pizza, but that was a shame.

(Gotta say, the non-gig room in Brudenell was pretty romantic in the dark. Just needed some candles to complete the mood.)
