Using the 'like' button

I just want to confirm when I ‘like’ a comment if it is factual or someone is recounting bad news, I am not saying I like their misfortune, I am using it as a form of solidarity or agreement. Everyone else uses it like this right?

I’m so glad someone’s brought this up. Sometimes I used it as a ^this sometimes as a like. How will they know the difference? It’s minefield.

TYPES OF LIKING (check those you use):

  • lol funny comment
  • Acknowledging something that was directed at me
  • Someone has posted something sad/bad news/etc and I’m liking the post because I don’t know what to say
  • Ironically liking someone who’s being a dick
  • Liking an in-joke to show that I get it
  • YES I AGREE WITH THIS POST
  • I fancy the person who posted this
