The Little Mermaid
Nah itâs not a massively impressive statue granted, but its on a nice walk down the front that allows you to loop back through the fort, so its well worth going past.
The London Dungeon or any other âDungeonâ type thing
If youâre around that area fine, itâs nice around there. making a trip to see the statue specifically ainât worth it
Temple Bar
Taking a selfie in front of a red phone box in Parliament square
Mona Lisa
The mannequin pis (but I think you probably knew that)
Charles Bridge in Prague. Maybe not shite, but itâs just a bridge
If youâre ever in Funchal, Madeira give the toboggans a swerve (ditto for Venice gondolas).
Madame Tussauds is the worst attraction on earth.
Frida Kahlo house is âfineâ but dear and out in the middle of nowhere and even with a ticket you have to queue for ages
I know people enjoy different things and my experience isnât universal. But firmly believe anyone claiming they enjoyed Madame Tussauds is lying to themselves to save face for the money they wasted
The chateau maybe but the gardens are lovely
The old streets in Kyoto (Ninnenzaka and Sannenzaka). Couldnât actually see anything as there were so many people and all the shops are just selling souvenirs. Literally every city we visited in Japan had old streets that were essentially the same
Washington Monument
I reckon this is the same in most touristy cities. We were in Bruges last year and it felt like 80% of visitors followed the exact same route around the city. You could wander 100 yards and find an equally pretty street/bridge/whatever that was so much quieter
Times square/piccadilly circus
M&mâs world aside obviously
leaning tower of pisa.
