Ooo I’d pick up the Rodan record. Where’s it from?

A couple I got in Crash Records in Leeds yesterday;

The New Pornos is colour vinyl.

The Marthe was a complete blind punt (the times we live in where £16 is seen as enough of a bargain to do that :roll_eyes:), basically the blurb on the cover got me: “Debut full length for the one woman band Marthe on Southern Lord. True Valkyrian metal inspired heavy riffing in a dark atmosphere of feasting ravens over a thunderous battleground. The war cry belongs to a distorted horde of crust punk and black metal venture. The dust settles over the power of Bathory, the melancholy of Tiamat and the stench of Amebix. ANTIFASCIST. FEMINIST. MISANTHROPIC.” :metal:

My £21 imperial phase Pumpkins album arrived today despite Amazon estimating delivery much later in the month. Easily the one I know least well from their 90s output, so looking forward to sticking this on.

Two of the best Scottish albums of the last few years in King Creosote and Savage Mansion, and a Preston School of Industry EP I’d totally forgotten about

Think that’s the type of music that was most affected by my move to streaming - fun but inessential, so it slipped from my mind quite easily. But as soon as I spun this copy I realised I remembered and enjoyed every track. Nice find

A bunch of 2023 Hip-Hop releases; Aesop & Mick Jenkins from Rough Trade, Curren$y & Boldy James from Get On Down.

Not heard any of those yet. Which one is the best :upside_down_face:?

The best I’d probably say Aesop, it only came out on Friday so this is a take based on only a couple of listens but it’s very good.

My favourite is probably Boldy James & Chan Hays though, listened to it loads this year.

if it helps I’m a massive fan of MJ’s The Healing Project and this sounds nothing like it.

Figured some of you might want this, it’s the 5 bonus tracks from Javelin, as part of RT’s end of year list. Ltd to 1500.

It’s an ASA mail day!
