Sorry if this seems like a long post.
Many years ago (mid 80’s - early 90’s) I had an incredibly close pal. He lived a street away from me, and when we weren’t at work we were always together, sometimes at the distain of our then girlfriends. We went to loads of gigs together, listened to music, got hammered….. Anyway, I moved away, we fell out over something, he moved somewhere else and without the internet we lost touch.
Earlier this year, he got back in touch. It was nice. Luckily like me, he isn’t living in the past and amongst other things asked if I’d heard this last week.
I really like this album. It speaks massively about some terrible mindsets that we’re seeing normalised.
It’s also tight as fuck and reminds me a little of the Ruts first album, while not dwelling on punk rock history.
Went to see them last weekend and they were not only great, a lovely bunch of lads.
The sleeve is magnificent too.

Picked up a slightly beat up copy of Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood’s second album for £5 yesterday.
The record plays just fine.
I love it when you unexpectedly discover where a sample came from. I nearly squealed in excitement at 3 minute and 15 seconds into this song:
