Visions 2023

Dice are doing a competition to win tickets which probably means they aren’t selling well which probably means you’ll win free tickets to it

I’ll only go if I get a free ticket :cat2:

Oh yeah it’s a good fest I just need to reel back on my spending somewhat

Just adding the festival tag to make the thread easier to find.

Also entered the competition, although not sure I’ll go if I win, so I hope the tickets are transferable. I mean, I might, I will be in London already, but am very shy of funds atm.

That Halina album is phenomenal, see her.

Gemma Dunlevey is very good live also…

I’ve already bought an early bird ticket but am going alone so might try and persuade some mates to enter. Think train strikes have been announced for that day so it’ll be a dry one for me, sadly. Will have to drive to Greenwich

Oh bugger, those strikes might scupper all my plans for that weekend.

The dog show is one of the highlights of the year

Besides a Fucked Up pre-show at Hangar one year, I’ve never got involved in Visions, but the line-up’s looking very interesting. Have you often ended up outside a full venue and ended up missing stuff? I don’t think I know all the venues for this year’s event.

I know it sort of defeats the object, but I would be quite happy just staying in Hackney Church all day. And there’s a high probability of me doing just that

Really lovely festival. Went to the first few editions and always had a great time.

Never had any issues with getting into the venues, but am always over cautious for the “main” acts so get there nice and early.

Antlers > Jens Lekman was a stunning one two in the church a few (eight?) years back.

I’ve not booked yet, but that was my thinking. At the very least I’d be happy to hang out in Hackney Church from around 5.05 onwards, which maybe isn’t the idea.

Got a message from Dice saying that I was a ‘runner-up’, and so they’re offering £10 off instead. Although there’s not anyone I desperately want to see, so will still pass at that price.

Yeah, same here.

Paper dress vintage last year was impossible to get into for a couple of acts

This year, the Hackney Church run ( Just Mustard, Scalping, Katy J Pearson, Spiritualized) makes it more than worthwhile for the ticket price IMO

Got a ticket to this I can’t use due to the train strikes, happy to transfer it to anyone who’d like it free of charge.

Yes please. That’s a really kind offer.

Not wanting anyone to not feel special, but it seems like I was a lucky runner-up too. What are the chances?

As was I

Bit of a shame that they can’t shift tickets.

My enthusiasm has waned with the knowledge that I’ve got to drive into London to attend this now (I still support the strikes, this is a “me problem”), and having looked at recent Spiritualized setlists, but I’m sure I’ll still have a good time.
