πŸ’Š vitamin chat πŸ’Š

What are you having? Have decided to stop being that person who doesn’t get their vitamins in food and then forgets to take supplements, so I’ve rounded mine up and have-
Vitamin D - (4000 iu because I’m dark skinned)
Vitamin B12 - at least three quarters of my meals are vegan, the rest are vegetarian
Iron - i am tired
A-Z for people with bad joints - always heard that these aren’t great and get pissed out but it seems good
Silica - for stronger hair
Vitamin c with iodine - on standby for when I have colds

Might just start with the vitamin D and a-z and take it from there

All types of vitamin chat welcome

sometimes take a centrum multivitamin thing.

Sounds pretty intense to keep track of what exact vitamins you need

Chewable multivitamin because I am a 5 year old that my wife needs to tempt to be healthy with something that looks like a wine gum and vitamin D because NHS says it might be a good idea.

Its actually quite overwhelming, we need so much and obtaining it from diet requires really considered meal planning. Also just realised vitamin K is not fake, its real, got mixed up with the fake one from the simpsons :sob:

I had to take this orange syrup one and fish oil as a kid, wish I had a chewable one then :sob:

I take a one for all multivitamin, a Vitamin D, Cod Liver Oil and a B12 (as i’m B12 deficient). Definitely feel better when I take them routinely.

D because I don’t go outside

B12 because I’m better than the carnivores and dairy weirdos

Multivitamin because I wanted the D ( :no_mouth:), and figured I might as well get some bonus letters.

Cod liver oil to combat the creakies.

Take a daily multivitamin plus additional iron and B12 a few times a week (vegan so pretty necessary). I was turned away from a blood donation for low iron a few weeks ago and felt devvoed, determined for it to never happen again :drop_of_blood:

Vitamin D because I’m in Scotland. I also take iron supplements but that’s because the doctor told me I’ve got to (not sure why).

Probably wasn’t getting enough iron.

I get prescribed vitamin D and calcium but it’s just occurred to me I’ve been forgetting to take them :joy: I will rectify this! Got some vitamin C knocking around somewhere as well that I should probably start taking before I get a cold as opposed to when I already have one.

Started taking 4000IU Vitamin D and Vitamin C Complex about six months ago. No idea if they’ve done anything. The Vitamin C ones reek.

I think it’s only a good idea if you have actual reason to believe your diet/lifestyle is short on a specific vitamin (eg vitamin D for most people in the UK).

If you take stuff you don’t need, some vitamins can actually shorten your life.
